DAY 1 : Arrival day
Arrive at Bali airport and transfer to your hotel in Candidasa, about an hour’s drive away. 3 nights at Alam Candi Resort
DAY 2 : A free day without a guide or car
Relaxation, massage, stroll around the hotel. Overnight at Candi Beach Villa and Resort.
DAY 3 : Discovering East Bali (4-hour walk) car
Morning departure for Lempuyang temple, situated at an altitude of 1175 meters. It comprises 7 temples, the last of which is at the summit. It’s a 4-hour walk through the countryside, with 1,700 steps to climb to reach the last temple. Along the way, you’ll come across other temples and even monkeys. After this effort, visit the famous royal bath of Tirtagagga, where you can cool off in the royal pool.
DAY 4 : Bali Rural (3-hour walk)
In the morning, you’ll take a three-hour hike through tiny traditional villages lost in rice paddies. You descend from the mountains to the plains, discovering both beautiful rural landscapes and the tranquility of the villagers’ daily lives. You will then reach a small white sandy beach where you can swim and have lunch. Transfer to Sidemen, the village lost in the middle of rice fields. 2 nights at Villa Cepik Sidemen.
DAY 5 : The rice fields of Sidemen (4-hour walk)
Leave your hotel in the morning for a four-hour hike along the side paths used by the Balinese people who work in the rice fields. This will be an opportunity to discover the ancestral techniques of rice cultivation at the heart of Balinese Hinduism and to admire the complexity of its irrigation systems. Refresh yourself afterwards in the natural river where the springs come from Agung mountain. Return to your hotel for the afternoon at leisure. Overnight at Villa Cepik Sidemen.
DAY 6 : Mount Batur (4-hour walk)
Depart before dawn for the ascent of Mount Batur, a four-hour walk. At the summit, we’ll watch the magnificent sunrise over the lake and the Agung and Rinjani volcanoes in the distance. After the descent, a welcome break at the hot springs for a relaxing bath. Return to Ubud, the cultural and artistic capital of Bali. 2 nights at Tegal Sari Accommodation*.
DAY 7 : Ubud
Depart in the morning for Hidden Canyon Beji Guwang, a memorable experience for adventure lovers. Enjoy the natural beauty of this place while remaining cautious! Canyoning in this area will allow you to cross a river, climb rocks and discover incredible landscapes with impressive rock formations. End your adventure with a typical lunch. Return to your hotel and afternoon at leisure.Overnight at Tegal Sari Accommodation Ubud.
DAY 8 : A day with the Balinese
In the morning, you will visit the Gianyar market where you will be able to select local fruit, vegetables, spices and ingredients that will enable you to prepare around ten Balinese dishes. Afterwards, take part in a traditional Balinese cooking class, organized by the hostess and conducted in French. She will introduce you to all the ingredients you will use in the recipes. Finally, enjoy a convivial meal where you can sample a variety of healthy dishes that are 100% Balinese! Continue your day with a pleasant stroll through the village. Complete your unique experience with a Balinese evening, dinner and Balinese dance. Overnight with Awix, a local in the village of Selat.
DAY 9 : UNESCO World Heritage sites in Bali (4-hour walk)
Depart in the early morning for a beautiful four-hour walk through rice fields and plantations in the Jatiluwih region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its irrigation system and ancient rice-growing techniques. We then return to Bedugul and visit the Ulun Danu Beratan temple, dedicated to Dewi Danu, the goddess of water, rivers and lakes. In the afternoon, we travel to the village of Munduk, situated in the mountainous region between 800 and 900 m above sea level. Overnight at Puri Lumbung Cottage*.
DAY 10 : Wild Bali (3-hour walk)
The morning will be devoted to a three-hour hike in the heart of nature, passing through spice plantations and pausing at the region’s famous waterfalls. We then head off to Bali’s largest Buddhist temple, Brahma Vihara Arama, and finish with a bath in the hot springs of Banjar. Finally, we reach Pemuteran, a small seaside village on Bali’s north-west coast. 2 nights at the Hotel Pondok Sari*.
DAY 11 : A free day without a guide or car
Possibility of organizing a diving trip to Menjangan Island or a 2-3 hour trek in Bali Barat National Park. Overnight at Pondok Sari.
DAY 12 : Discovering West Bali (3-hour walk)
We leave Pemuteran for the Belimbing region, considered to be Bali’s rice granary. We enjoy a beautiful walk through rice fields and plantations to the Sing Sing waterfall. Continue on to the Tanah Lot temple, built on a large rock and dedicated to the God of the Sea. Transfer to the Villa Taman di Blayu hotel in Mengwi for the last evening on the edge of the rice fields.
DAY 13 : Departure day
Last walk and last massage… Your guide will take you to the airport for your return. Your head will be full of memories and you’ll be looking forward to coming back.
